ETHEL BENNETT was Ms New York Senior America in 1986 just after Dr. Al Mott, Founder, went national in 1981. Ethel was the runner-up in 1986 to the National Queen that year. Ethel later served as the New York State Director for the Ms Senior America pageant for 18 years.
In 1990, MARLEEN SCHUSS became the co-director of the NY Senior America Pageant. Also, Bob Geltman also became involved with the NY Senior America pageant as director of pageants for over 32 years. Then in 2006, Marleen Schuss became the New York State Administrator, working alongside Bob, her longtime companion. Bob worked to calm the NY contestents' nerves and assured them everything would run smoothly. They called him "King Bob". He was the driving force behind the NY Senior America organization. Marleen was an outstanding student of classical ballet.
In 2025,VIRGINIA "GINNIE" WERNER stepped up to become the newest State Administor for the New York Senior America organization.

After 18 years, Marianne retired as the director and choreographer of the Seasoned Steppers, leaving a wealth of original dances which continue to dazzle audiences at every NY Senior America Showcase. She taught in her own dance studio for 27 years. She appeared on the Ted Mack amateur hour in her younger years and performed with the Children's Repertory Group at the NY Museum of Modern Art. She danced professionally, performing a tap act known as the Ronson Sisters at major resorts, hotels and night clubs. She choreographed numerous musical numbers for Repertory groups. Marianne entered the Ms NY Senior America Pageant in 2007 and has performed her specialty dance solos in every Showcase. We wish to thank Marianne for her devotion, talent and commitment to Ms New York Senior America.

Corliss Whitney was a member of the famed Radio City Rockettes from 1945 to 1953. In later years she founded the Ms NY Senior America Seasoned Steppers and led that group until 2007. She was the choreographer of "New York, New York" which continues to be the signature piece.

In 2007 Marianne Stahl stepped in and lef the group until she retired in 2025. Joan Caliendo, Ns New York Senior America 2024 assumed the position of Director/Choreographer from Marianne. Joan hopes to continue the Seasoned Steppers traditional dance style adding her own touch to their repertoire.
